Who cares about the How? I want to know WHY you did that!

When I think about you, I touch myself.

The best this year was Billy Elliot, with Ragtime running a close second. The worst was a toss between Guys and Dolls and American Buffalo.

edit: Make that G&D. I just realized I saw Buffalo at the end of '08.

I don't really have a worst list, as no production was really THAT terrible (though I never actually saw Guys and Dolls...) but Gina Gershen would probably be on it...

I saw The Little Mermaid 7 times in its run. First preview, twice last year, and 4 times this year.

I saw the show for my birthday with my friends, Sierra Boggess's last performance, and final performance of the show. That's how I got to 3 times with her in it.

I feel like Billy Elliot is more 2008, even though of course technically it's not.

Same goes for Speed The Plow. Geez, that whole mess seemed like SO long ago, doesn't it?

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body
