I am shocked about the attention this is garnering.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Judging by the new 'Bust Your Windows' promo clip, I'm guessing they've drifted from the initial 'this won't be a bursting out into song type musical show' to doing just that.
I hope it continues to be popular and successful, but the reason the pilot did well was because we hadn't seen a show like that before...and I'm wondering if the novelty will wear off before too long.
I would love for it to continue being popular and successful, but I get the impression that the pilot was as popular as it was because we hadn't seen a tv show like it...will the novelty wear off?
They tried 'Brittania High' over here in the UK, which was kind of like a High School Musical meets Fame tv show, and it flopped...even with reasonable names attached. But maybe Glee will survive longer because of the songs they use, and how its marketed with iTunes.
If you watch the interview with Chris Colfer (who plays Kurt) he states that "Kurt is so far in the closet he is in the garage". Odd, but I always assumed the Kurt character was completely out, (and maybe a little proud) Maybe this is only his interpretation; I seem to remember hearing about a possible love interest for him in upcoming episodes.
I really liked the first episode. I thought it was remarkably well done for a pilot. But I'm not thrilled that they're veering from their "this won't be a burst out in song type show" thing. Even though I (duh) love when people burst out in song, I liked Glee's concept of only having the musical numbers in the Glee club performances.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention...I'm the good cop, he's the bad cop.
Saw the pilot in the spring, and liked it. I also like the bright red GLEE baseball cap they were giving away at NYC's Gay Pride parade.

I agree Jennafan, I enjoyed the pilot, but the "window" number did nothing for me at all. Maybe when seen in the context of the episode it will seem better. But it's not the number I would have picked to get people excited about the upcoming shows.
I think the Windows number was to show the variety of songs that are going to be on the show. The song wasn't like Rehab or Don't Stop Believing. Just a theory...
"Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, take the moment & making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity." -Gilda Radner
bdwaygirl, maybe you have trouble comprehending something. The first thing I said, and you also quoted, is that "I liked the pilot."
Don't start something that is not there. I was just stating that I was worried about this show. I don't think it will fail and I have a right to not like one of the numbers. I didn't say I hate the show altogether. EXCUSE me!
Read what I write next time before quoting it and making an off comment that doesn't even match anything I said.
