TickledPINK: "How did you get a signed picture from gavin lee? I saw the show 2 times and he was amazing! Looks like he has so much fun."

Sorry so long to respond... i wrote to him and addressed it to the theatre. Just included a self addressed and stamped envelope, and he wrote back luckily! :)

Agree with everything you said, Kith, except about Scarlett's singing! In my opinion she is easily the most accomplished singer to have played Mary, whether on Broadway or in London. Her singing style is certainly very different to LMK or AB, which might unsettle those used to other's performances or the cast recording, but she is by anyone's standards a wonderful singer. She's been getting rave reviews for her singing in her recent portrayal of 'Marian' in 'The Music Man'.

Financial Times, London - "Willson’s music may not be memorable, but in Scarlett Strallen as Marian, the librarian who helps Hill find his heart, the show has a lyric soprano of the old school – one who vibrates beautifully and who looks a dream."

Another review - "His co-star and the love interest of the piece is the stunning Scarlett Strallen. She plays Marian the librarian and is gorgeous. She is beautiful, slim with a wonderful behind and the movement of a dancer, which later in the show she proves herself to be. However it is when she sings that my heart fluttered helplessly against my rib cage. "Goodnight My Someone", "Will I Ever Tell you? and "Till There Was you" are delivered in a crystal clear voice, which effortlessly reaches into the higher notes and makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention."

Comments from a fellow 'Music Man' cast member's blog, one of the barbershop quartet - "I think my favourite scene to do is the Lida Rose section with the quartet and Marion, but I have to say that when I used to watch the rehearsal I always loved watching and listening to Scarlett sing 'My White Knight' and 'Till there was you.' She has such a beautiful voice and really puts the song over well."

Similar praise for her singing in Poppins - "Strallen is spirited and sweet without ever being sickly, and she's blessed with a glorious soprano.... Strallen anchors a production that honors the 1964 Disney film without remaining slavish to it. And when she sings, your heart melts."

Sorry to go on but as a huge Scarlett fan and supporter I wanted to present my views! I'm sure she'll be a massive hit on Broadway and I for one have started saving to come over and see her.

It's not just you! I think its the best Disney movie to stage adaptation that they've done! And I wasn't really that big on the movie in the first place before I went to see it!
