I like Jenn gamby's last 2

JENN GAMBATESE (Natalie Haller/Ed). On Broadway Jenn has cut loose in the ’80s as Urleen in Footloose, welcomed the ’60s as Penny Pingleton in Hairspray and is now so excited to be shaking up the ’50s! Other credits include Broadway’s A Year With Frog and Toad, Off-Broadway’s Reefer Madness and both the European and North American tours of Fame. A proud member of Actors’ Equity, Jenn thanks the boys at BRS, her family, friends and God for all the ‘blessons’ of life!

Jennifer Gambatese (Penny Pingelton) happily returns to her side kick saddle shoes.......

I really enjoy Tim Rice's bio. It's a bit lengthy but he has a great sense of humor.

TIM RICE (Lyrics) was born in 1944. From 1956-1965 he wanted to be Elvis. Then he met Andrew Lloyd Webber, whose musical ambitions were in theatre rather than rock. They joined forces as one could knock out a decent tune, the other had a way with words. They wrote four shows together. The first, The Likes of Us (1965-66), was never performed, but Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (196re: Best bio ever!, Jesus Christ Superstar (1969-71) and Evita (1976-7re: Best bio ever! became, and indeed remain, hugely successful all around the world, on both stage and screen. Feeling certain that they could never top this lot, the pair went their separate ways in the early ‘80s, whereupon ALW immediately topped that lot with Cats. TR then wrote Blondel (1983), a medieval romp, with Stephen Oliver, which ran for a year in London, but not for long anywhere else. In 1986 came Chess, written with ABBA’s Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. Chess had a healthy UK run but flopped on Broadway in 1988, The New York Times bloke simply not getting it. In 1989 Rice translated the famous French Berger-Plamondon musical Starmania into English, which merely resulted in a hit album – in France. In the ‘90s he worked primarily with the Disney empire, contributing lyrics to the movies Aladdin (music Alan Menken) and The Lion King (music Elton John and Hans Zimmer) and to the stage shows Beauty and the Beast (Alan Menken), The Lion King and Aida (both Sir Elton). In lunch breaks he wrote the words for Cliff Richard’s theatrical extravaganza Heathcliff (music John Farrar), which toured the UK in 1995-96. He is currently reworking an operatic musical he has written with Alan Menken (King David) and on new treatments, for both stage and screen, of Chess, The New York Times bloke having been replaced. He also has a new idea, which may or may not see the light of day. He has won many awards, mainly for the wrong things, or for simply turning up. He lives in England, has three children, his own cricket team and a knighthood (that’s Sir Tim to you).

now now, in babs defense, she had an awful relationship with her mother, who did nothing to stop her second husband (louis kind) from verbally abusing our little barbra. i agree it was cold not to go to the funeral at all, but, i can kind of understand.

in relation to the topic at hand, her "wholesale" bio is rather infamous but i can't find it anywhere...

and it went onto the shows that opened

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

My sister and I have our "Playbill thing" when we go see shows. Before the show starts or during intermission, we read through the playbill and count the number of references to the Law & Order and its various offspring. Usually, it does take about 15 minutes to count them all.

Oh, and the God bio is hilarious.

I can't believe I typed all this out. Anyway, it's Martin Levan's bio from the OBC of Aspects of Love.

MARTIN LEVAN (Sound Designer) is a very jolly man, with a very healthy pair of ears. Since he learned the ukelele he played for the cleaner daily and he knew one day he'd impress his peers. One thing led to another and he soon was to discover that the ukelele wasn't his vocation. So he turned to the stage and became quite the rage putting speakers in the right location. Now if you give him half the chance, be it Cats or Song & Dance, Starlight, Phantom of the Opera and more, he'll be there with his meters aking changes to his tweeters 'fore the audience comes flocking through the door. Now the story unfurled. There are shows throughout the world with the Martin Levan Sound Design crest and the ukelele days have now vanished in a haze but the cleaner agreed it's for the best! Marin and his wife, Karen, live in Beaconsfield, England, with their three children -- Remy, Toby and Kim.

I loved Sieber's Law and Order remark. DHP's bio is funny too, with the (absolutely no awards of any kind) thing.

I think it was an old bio of Jen Gambatese's that said something like "She's done Fame. She's done Footloose. She done need a new agent.":)

I heart bios.

From WICKED -

Shoshana Bean (Elphaba) Shoshana is extremely proud to join the company of WICKED, after selling her soul to Satan and commiting herself to eternal damnation for the chance to play this part. She wishes to thank the Dog for all it's love and continual support, and Eden Espinosa for choosing not to break her BKLYN contract and return to the part she played twice and thus turned her into an inspiration for countless numbers of teenage girls who have yet to find their place in this world.

BARBRA STREISAND - Not a member of the Actor's Studio, Miss Streisand is 19 and this is her first Broadway show. Born in Madagascar and reared in Rangoon, she attended Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn. She appeared Off-Broadway in a one-nighter entitled "Another Evening With Harry Stoones". She has appeared at New York's two best-known supper clubs, the Bon Soir and the Blue Angel, and has been on Mike Wallace's PM East and the Jack Paar Show. (Later Streisand would change the second line to "Born in Zanzibar and reared in Aruba)

John Cleese's from the Spamalot playbill is realy funny. I'll see if I can find it. It says something about it not being the first time he portrayed a divine figure and that he played buddha in a production of Guys and Dolls or something like that.

I thought that Hank Azaria's in Spamalot was great as well, "Pretty Woman; not actually so very proud" The playbill was my favorite part of the show.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet:

Mayumi Ando from RENT:

MAYUMI ANDO (ensemble) is honored to be donning pigtails and that darn fuzzy pink bra eight times/week for this incredible show. Her favorite color at the moment is green. She thanks her loving family, gorgeous friends, and supportive teachers for giving her wings to fly and reason to keep at lease one foot on the ground. Columbia University graduate. for shayne.
