In the early 1970's, while stationed with the U.S. Navy at NAS Pensacola, it was my honor to have known Commander (later Captain) Harley Hall.  At the time, CDR Hall was Commander (or Boss) of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team (the Blue Angels).  As such, he was required to have had at least 3000 tactical jet flight hours and to have commanded a Tactical Jet Squadron.  The "Boss" flies the Number One Jet.

From Pensacola, CDR Hall was assigned to an aircraft carrier off the coast of Vietnam, where his jet was shot down on the last day of the Vietnam War.  CDR Hall was the last Navy air casualty of the Vietnam War, and the last American to be classified Prisoner of War in the Vietnam War.  The circumstances of his eventual death are something of a mystery.  I knew him briefly, but I miss him.  He was a good man, a good sailor, and a good American.

Half a century later, I'm happy that the Blue Angels are still a part of America's best.  Here they are flying over NYC and the East Coast with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds hours ago.

Still timely

I love this video/collaboration of artists so much, and I was actually a big fan of the Broadway community coming together to do it as well.

Rookie here. How do you embed YouTube vids in posts? I tried but failed. I Googled. Found a thread on here about video embedding. It didn't help.

Apologies. Any help would be appreciated.

When the YouTube video you want to embed begins to play, right click within the video.  That brings a drop-down menu.  Click on "copy video URL".

Then come here and where you want to embed the video, click on the blank square at the top of the page to the left of the question mark (?).  Right click in the long box that comes up, then click "Paste" then "OK".  The video should appear, then you can click "post message".

You can test it here if this doesn't make sense.  A cat is walking back and forth across my lap.

Oh man. I thought it was just on my end. Hope this fixes things...

Evita 20th anniversary national tour (1999) starring Natalie Toro as Eva and Raul Esparza as Che and featuring original staging. Prob the best quality video of the original opening exactly as it was in 1979 without any changes.

Your second video seems to have escaped the bounds of the thread itself.  Maybe try to delete the second video, or perhaps both?  I've never been able to embed two videos in one post.  If you delete and decide to post just one, you will need to go back to the video and start fresh.

The almost-naked gentleman at the end of the number is actor (and funny man) David Walliams.  For charity, he swam the River Thames (140 miles) and the English Channel.

My favorite non-dancing bit from the West End production of 42nd Street.

I know Lea Michele is not liked here but that clip with her and Kristin Chenoweth was pretty good.

Even at a young age, Paul McCartney showed he could sing (Til There Was You) anything very well -lol
