Yes they are. It's hard to make it happen, but it's possible. Nominators are given the entire cast list from which to cast their votes. It's one of the reasons I don't support the Ensemble or Chorus Tony unless every member of the cast is removed from separate award consideration.

At a Proms Concert, one she's done before where audiences love her. Shall we now ban all white people from singing songs from a show about POC? Shall we? Music is a universal language. And she was NOT playing the role of Maria in a production of West Side Story."
Hamilton is the wrong comparison here. A much better argument in support for Boggess in the role would be Lea Salonga as Mother in the Ragtime concert. Also a show completely about race in this country yet the specifically WASP matriarch was played by an Asian actress.
So you're that one person. The reboot of ROSEANNE has been aninstant hit and winning its time-slot every Tuesday night since it returned and ABC TV has already confirmed anotherseason, expanding to 13episodes (the reboot return only has 9 episodes).
Lack of LGBT Protagonists Apr 18

Besides, are you saying that minority groups should have less options and less representation than straight, white people? That doesn't sound right to me."
I'm saying that the representation on Broadway in regards to sexual orientation and gender identity isn't out of whack with the population as a

It is picayune gesture at best and I want to know just how many gypsies you might know in real life. It is a reference to constant movement from place to place or show to show as it were. I am self-aware enough to know when I see a ruse and a false pretense of good works or actions. This has nothing to do with being white and again you point

To think that someone could be so lacking in self-awareness is astounding.
LGBT Americans make up roughly 3.4% of the population. There are 25 musicals currently on Broadway. Mathematically only 0.85 shows should feature an LGBT protagonist to accurately reflect the makeup of the country.
And if you think the majority of the audience at Broadway shows are LGBT then you're grossly mistaken.
You wait six months to share this story and you do it two weeks before Tony nominations are announced? Are you the press agent for another leading actor contender by any chance?
Actors owe you NOTHING but to put on the show you paid to see. And if I had been in his shoes I would have darted away too. How does he know you're not some creepy stalker who's following him after the show. He doesn't know where you're going to eat (and if you think he heard you s
Best movie adaptations of plays Apr 8

I caught the new movie adaptation of Journey's End this weekend and thought it was a terrific adaptation of the play. In never felt stage bound while keeping the power of the piece I know well. Yes there were little things I missed, but it worked brilliantly on its own.

This wasn't the original plan. Not sure what caused them to add in I Would Never Leave You, but it wasn't included in that morning's dress rehearsal which I attended.

The episode of Growing Pains when they go see La Cage Aux Folles and Kirk Cameron's character Mike talks about all the attractive female dancers and then has a gay panic moment when he finds out they're men. At the time I thought he was acting, but clearly Kirk needed no acting skills to come across as a homophobic nincompoop.
Also shout out to the entirety of The Newsroom which had theater references in almost every episode.

what you mean is something more like: what theatrical productions exist as (referenced or established) theatrical productions in other theatrical productions?"
To be fair, an alien of ET's race does pop up in the Prequels as part of the galactic senate. But that's more of an easter egg than official tie-in.&n

You're right, you're not. A morally superior person would honor the contract they entered into and not break it just because they think they can get away with it. That's the behavior of an immoral person. See: Trump, Donald J.

This right here is the biggest problem with your proposal. You're looking at casting a person of another gender because it'll change the focus of the play. That's a BIG no no.
However, you often have more latitude if the character is still the originally specified gen
