LMFAO...Yes, I guess that is abundantly clear from her last few interviews. I just hate it when celebs who rely on their gay following for years suddenly turn on us. That goes for Miss Gloria Gaynor as well.
Donna Summer was actually misquoted and had filed suit but was later settled out of court for a fairly large sum of money. Sorry, but I am a huge Donna Summer fan and was quite shocked when all that went down in the mid 80's. But when the dust settled everything came out and we all saw the error of our gossip minded sound bite addled ways.
She did an interview where she was mis-quoted and had her words taken out of context and she sounded very discriminatory against homosexuals. Turns out that it was just a mistake.
I love Carol though, I saw her one woman show, and I couldn't believe how energetic and powerful she is at 80 some-odd years old.
She needs to come to NYC Has anyone ever met her? What's she like?

I just met Carol a few weeks ago when she was performing in Ohio. She is FABULOUS! So kind and gracious. She and her hubby are just precious together. Truly one of my favorite memories.

Sad to think that if this thread were called "Calling all TINA MADDIGAN fans!" or "Calling all IDINA MENZEL fans!" it would have far more than a dozen responses to it.
Like I said before, if Carol Channing is your sole reason for living, that makes you a very sad person. You can't look to someone or something else for your own happiness.
A friend who lives in Fresno taped it for me and sent it to me. It was fantastic! She flubbed a few lines during "We Need a Little Christmas" but that's just Carol! :) Also during the song when the line came up, "Carols at the spinit" she pointed to herself! haha.

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
