Kudzu Calling is set to open at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival on April 1, 2025, and will run through April 30. Under the new artistic direction of Quin Gresham, the production aims to reflect the complexities of Southern life while engaging the local community. Gresham, an experienced director and actor with a diverse background in theater, looks forward to advancing the festival's mission of storytelling that resonates with regional pride and cultural significance.

From its founding in a high school auditorium in Anniston in 1972 to its designation as the State Theatre of Alabama in 1977 to the stunning $21.5 million performing arts complex in Montgomery (built in 1985), ASF has been a leader in the performing arts throughout the state, region, and country.
