RMT DEBUT! We are proud to bring this critically acclaimed and Tony Award-winning 2015 musical to RMT for the first time. All his life, Evan Hansen has felt invisible. When a tragic event shocks the community, Evan's choices -- and lies -- leave him at the center of the turmoil. As Evan works through his adolescent confusion, grief, and the pressures of the online world, it becomes the story of the universal need to find acceptance.
This is the third co-production with UAB Department of Theatre, two educational powerhouses coming together to teach the musical theatre stars of tomorrow.
Starring: Darion Dewhirst (Evan Hansen), Kristen B. Campbell (Heidi Hansen), Caleb Womack (Connor Murphy), Charity Bielicki (Zoe Murphy), Meggie Cansler Ness (Cynthia Murphy), Jake Boyd* (Larry Murphy), Knox Villemarette (Jared Kleinman), Lily Cameron (Alana Beck). Also featuring Abe Ivey, Aurkheem Jolley, Blake West, Brennen Foy, Devin Towery, Elena Santini, Emma Kate Gibson, Francis Fremin, Jessica Clark, Jordan Foster, JP Williams, Kenneth Weldon, Monica Velma, Samantha Robinson, and Sophia Evangelidis.
