The Virginia Samford Theatre at Caldwell Park presents their Main Stage production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas January 19th - January 29th.

Performances are January 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th, 27th, and 28th at 7:30 pm, and January 22nd, 29th at 2:30 pm.

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas has a book by Larry L. King and Peter Masterson and music and lyrics by Carol Hall. It is directed by Jack Mann, has music directed by Katie Holmes, and is choreographed by Carl Dean. The cast features Kristi Tingle Higginbotham & Kyle Holman

This happy go lucky view of small town vice and statewide political side stepping recounts the good times and the demise of the Chicken Ranch, known since the 1850s as one of the better pleasure palaces in all of Texas. Governors, senators, mayors and even victorious college football teams frequent Miss Mona's cozy bordello until that puritan nemesis Watchdog focuses his television cameras and his righteous indignation on the institution.
