Forever Plaid
December 7-10, 2011

One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision, the "Plaids" are a guaranteed smash, with a program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in the aisles when they're not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the '50s. Details

By popular demand, they're delivering their next blockbuster. Grab your surfboards and head to the beach with The Unexpected Surfer Boys! Mandy Barnett Live in Concert

This Crossville, Tennessee, native has been singing since the age of 5, with her career kicking in high gear in her teens when she appeared as Patsy Cline in Always ... Patsy Cline at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Mandy soon signed with Asylum Records where she released her first album, appropriately entitled, Mandy Barnett. The album received glowing reviews in major trade publications and magazines, including Time magazine, as well as praise from veteran country artists and fans. Details

Scot Bruce as Elvis
November 19, 2011

Merrimack Hall welcomes Scot Bruce back by popular demand for his third Huntsville appearance! Originally from the Pacific Northwest, where he was a radio personality and a drummer, Scot has lived in Los Angeles since 1990. While pursuing music and acting as a career (and having been a musician and big Elvis fan all of his life), he started doing a 1950's era Elvis show as a way to survive the lean times. Because of his uncanny resemblance to the young "King" (and his ability to sing, strum a guitar, and swivel his hips), his live show has taken him across the U.S. and all over the world. Details

An Evening With Abigail Washburn
April 17, 2012

If American old-time music is about taking earlier, simpler ways of life and music-making as one's model, Abigail Washburn has proven herself to be a bracing revelation to that tradition. She - a singing, songwriting, Nashville-based clawhammer banjo player - is every bit as interested in the present and the future as she is in the past, and every bit as attuned to the global as she is to the local. She pairs venerable folk elements with far-flung sounds, and the results feel both strangely familiar and unlike anything ever heard before. She changes what seems possible. Details

James Gregory
September 27-28, 2011

For over two decades, the unforgettable caricature of veteran comedian James Gregory has stood grinning: his shirt untucked, his arms outstretched, a carefree welcome to a down-home, hilarious comedy experience. It's storytelling at its best. The trademark caricature is the essence of James Gregory's comedy: rib-tickling reflections on life from the front porch. Gregory is constantly touring; he's on the road three days a week, forty six weeks a year. He continues to entertain sold-out crowds in theaters and Comedy Clubs. Details

Etta May as Dr. Etta, Family Specialist October 20-21, 2011

A new one-woman show from award-winning comedian Etta May. Dr. Etta, Family Specialist is a hilarious and heartfelt look at the breakdown of the American family. It's common sense for The Common man. The family of the 21st Century is deathly ill, and Dr. Etta has the cure! This two-act play, staged as a seminar makes you laugh one minute and cry the next. Details

Henry Cho
November 9-10, 2011

Back by popular demand! Always making the most of who he is, Henry recently inked a deal with CBS and Paramount Studios to co-create and star in his own sitcom based on his life as a Korean-American born and raised in Tennessee. In 2006, Henry had his own Comedy Central special, "What's That Clickin' Noise?" on Comedy Central. WB Records released the DVD and CD of the show in May 2006. You can catch Henry on the big screen as well, starring opposite Hilary Duff and Angelica Houston in Material Girls. Details

Jon Reep
January 19-20, 2012

Does this face look familiar? Maybe you've seen Jon on NBC's "Last Comic Standing", Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" or the half-hour special "Comedy Central Presents: Jon Reep". Maybe you've seen him on TBS's "Pit Stop Comedy", NBC's "Late Friday," or the ABC sitcom "Rodney" as Officer Gerald Bob the dim-witted cop. If not then you probably know Jon from Dodge's popular ad campaign as the "Hemi guy." Details
