Berthe di Vito-Delvaux was born in Angleur (Liège) in 1915.
A teacher of harmony at the Royal Musical Conservatory of Liège, she is the originator of, among other works, numerous operas, ballets, sonatas, concertos for piano, oratorios, chamber music pieces, as well as melodies and choruses.
Her preference for the lyrical in all its forms is manifested in her creation of eight operas.
To date, more than 200 opus numbers are recorded in her catalogue.
In 1975-76 she composed Grétry, a comic opera in three acts, written in Liégois dialect by Joseph Schetter.
