Cumberland Theatre continues its 38th Season with Annie, the Tony Award-winning musical based on the comic strip by Harold Gray, featuring a book and score by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin. Set in 1930s New York City, the story follows little orphan Annie as she escapes the orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan and finds a new home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Kinsley Tortora of Connecticut makes her CT debut in the title role, joined by Nathan Wright as Daddy Warbucks, Savannah Tagliaferro as Grace, Kimberli Rowley as Miss Hannigan, Chris May as Rooster, and Lisa Podulka as Lily St. Regis. The production is directed and choreographed by returning guest artist Dennis Clark, with musical direction by LeaAnn Alter.
