THE WAY OFF BROADWAY DINNER THEATRE'S 2014 SEASON - Celebrating 20 Years of Entertainment!

Rodgers & Hammerstein'S
THE SOUND OF MUSIC
January 17 - March 15, 2014

Music by Richard Rodgers
Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein
Book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse
Suggested by The Trapp Family Singers by Maria Augusta Trapp

When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre.

SINGIN' IN THE RAIN
March 28 - May 31, 2014

Screenplay by Betty Comden and Adolph Green
Songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed
Based on the classic Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Inc.

1920's Hollywood during the waning days of the silent screen era is the setting for this zany, light-hearted romantic comedy when many a movie studio found itself scrambling to salvage the career of its chipmunk-voiced silent picture stars. This fun musical theatre romp focuses on romantic lead Don Lockwood, his sidekick CosMo Brown, aspiring actress Kathy Selden, and Lockwood's leading lady Lina Lamont, whose less-than-dulcet vocal tones make her an unlikely candidate for stardom in talking pictures.

An International Blockbuster - To Be Announced
June 20 - August 23, 2014

THE TITLE OF THIS PRODUCTION WILL BE ANNOUNCED NOVEMBER 2nd!

Seen by millions on stage (and recently on screen), you won't want to miss the show that has broken box office records worldwide. With Way Off Broadway's production, you will feel like you are a part of the action as this epic tale unfolds with glorious music and a powerful story.

ANNIE GET YOUR GUN
September 5 - October 11, 2014

Music & Lyrics by Irving Berlin
Original Book by Herbert Fields and Dorothy Fields
Revised by Peter Stone

Annie Oakley is the best shot around. And when she's discovered by Buffalo Bill, he persuades this novel sharpshooter to join his Wild West Show. It only takes one glance for her to fall head over heels for the dashing shooting ace Frank Butler. She soon eclipses Butler as the main attraction which, while good for business, is bad for romance. Butler hightails it off to join a rival show, his bruised male ego leading the way, but is ultimately pitted against Annie in a final shoot-out. The show scored a bulls eye when it returned to Broadway in 1999 sporting a revised libretto by Tony, Oscar, and Emmy winner Peter Stone.
