Exploring the lives of young students in a 19th century German town, Spring Awakening takes an unflinching look at the practices and tragic effects of sexual repression.  Teenagers, prevented by their elders from understanding the changes they are undergoing, express their coming-of-age anxiety and adolescent rebellion through their relationships with each other, and through thrilling rock-style performances in contemporary fashion. Spring Awakening, an eight-time Tony Award-winning musical by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, is based on Frank Wedekind’s 19th century play.

The 11 featured players are:  Sinead Fahey (Wendla), Emily Boling (Thea), Christopher Zargarbashi (Moritz), Hunter Crain (Georg) and Travis Harper (Otto) of Baltimore, Stephanie Mickens (Martha) of Windsor Mill, Megan Morfe (Anna) of Parkville,Naomi Steven (Ilsa) of Catonsville, James Baxter (Melchior) of Ellicott City, Campbell Kistner (Ernst) of Dundalk and Yasha Langer (Hanschen) of Owings Mills.  Other cast members include: Brian Jacobs, Jay Camp and Emma Miller of Baltimore, Meli Hartsoe of Stewartstown, PA, Kalisha Brooks of Randallstown, Logan Burke of Pasadena, Keiron Green of Halethorpe, Renata Hammond of Gwynn Oak and Nicki Seibert of Lutherville-Timonium.
