Walter McBride As a 14 year old youth, Walter was transfixed by his first Broadway Show, the original production of 'GREASE'. His Journey to celebrity photojournalism began that fateful night. Meeting, photographing and getting to know the cast inspired him to spend his professional life doing what he loved. Currently headlining in New Jersey with his partner Richard and family members Dali (Jack Russell) & Gala (Schnoodle). Recently he made his Broadway debut sharing the stage with Hugh Jackman in 'Hugh Jackman on Broadway' as well as receiving the Actors' Equity Association Gypsy Spirit Award. On September 23-24, Josh Grisetti will make his solo debut at 54 Below! Josh made his Broadway debut this past spring in It Shoulda Been You, for which he won the 2015 Clarence Derwent Award and received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations. Off-Broadway and regionally, Josh has performed in Sheryl Crow's Diner, Peter and the Starcatcher, and the revival of Rent. Performances will begin on Thursday, November 12, 2015, with an opening night scheduled for Thursday, December 17, 2015, at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). The new musical Hamilton has book, music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also plays the title role. The musical is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. Hamilton is inspired by Ron Chernow's biography 'Alexander Hamilton.' Meryl Streep just joined the long list of celebrities who have now seen the show, and BroadwayWorld was on hand to catch photos of the Hollywood living legend backstage with the cast!

Just yesterday, Ben Kallos, Council Member of the 5th District, honored Penn & Teller for their 40th anniversary of inspiring and thrilling audiences. The duo has a long and storied history entertaining New Yorkers and deep roots in New York City. Penn & Teller have had two off-Broadway and three Broadway engagements. Their first off-Broadway appearance in 1985 at the Westside Arts Theatre put them on the map.  They first played Broadway in 1987. PENN & TELLER ON BROADWAY marks their return to New York 30 years after their premiere here and is a bona fide hit; it closes this Sunday, August 16. Their numerous honors include an Obie Award, an Emmy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - and now a Proclamation from the city of New York.

Signature Theatre presents John, written by Pulitzer Prize winner-Annie Baker (The Flick) and directed by Tony Award-winner Sam Gold (Fun Home). The production, which kicks off Signature's 25th Anniversary Season, will now play through Sunday, September 6. John began performances on July 22 and opens tonight, August 11, in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Adapted by Tony nominated author Patrick Barlow from an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon, and based on the book by John Buchan and the classic 1935 Alfred Hitchcock film, 39 Steps is currently playing at the Union Square Theatre. 39 Steps is a comedic spoof of the classic 1935 film, with only 4 'insanely talented' actors portraying more than 150 characters, sometimes changing roles in the blink of an eye. The brilliantly madcap story follows our dashing heroRichard Hannay (Robert Petkoff) as he races to solve the mystery of The 39 Steps, all the while trying to clear his name. The show's uproarious fast-paced 100 minutes promises to leave you gasping for breath... in a good way! It's fun for everyone from 9 to 99. "The One Legged Song and Dance Man is Back! After a sold out show back in February, Evan Ruggiero will return to 54 Below on August 14. Joining him for this night of music will be Broadway Veteran Jackie Burns (If/Then, Wicked, Hair), Olivia Polci (Foolerie, 54 Below Solo Show, Bergen PAC Soloist), and Kyle Wilder (Black Out w/ Savion Glover, New Jersey Tap Ensemble, JUBA Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance). Evan's band feature's long standing members Ray Carega, Justin Garcia, and Brendan Daily, and introducing Will Dougherty, Joe Gullace, Frank Scillieri, and Rich Cush. Not only will Evan sing his favorite rock and musical theatre songs, but he will be debuting some of his own songs from his new original musical he has been working on called "My Champagne Year."

54 Below is Broadway's Supper Club - and the hottest venue in town - but long before that it was home to nightlife legend. 54 Below invites you to remember the glory - and the decadence - that was STUDIO 54. In the legendary club's heyday the guest  list was a who's who from the world of entertainment - Andy Warhol, Liza Minnelli, Halston, Elizabeth Taylor, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross, Brooke Shields, John Travolta, Michael Jackson - and the music played kept them dancing all through the night. Come "Turn the Beat Around" as we "Celebrate Good Times" and salute Studio 54 from its opening night to the "Last Dance." Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie graces the stage of 54 Below with a return engagement of Same Place: Another Time: a musical deja vu celebrating the scintillating 70's in New York City - the heyday of Studio 54. McKechnie, best known the world over for creating the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line, is also well-known for her Broadway appearances in State Fair; On the Town; Company; Promises, Promises; and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. For these two very special performances, Donna will salute this remarkable era via the music of Jim Croce, Peter Allen, Marvin Hamlisch and Stephen Sondheim. The evening will also include a special tribute to Kander & Ebb, celebrating their last musical The Visit.
