Just last night, musical comedienne & impressionist Christine Pedi (NEWSical the Musical, Forbidden Broadway, Chicago) brought her favorite funny friends together to shake & stir up some hysterical comedy concoctions (musical & otherwise) at 54 Below. Silly songs and other diversions from some of the wildest wits on & off Broadway make it an incredibly happy hour & late night laugh lounge.

75 - year old singer Tonia Tecce has made her long-delayed New York City cabaret debut last night at The Metropolitan Room. Previously, Tecce has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Academy of Music, and sung with Peter Nero and many orchestras . Her show, A Cockeyed Optimist, Why We Believe, The Songs of Richard Rodgers, was written and directed by Michael Bush.

Music continues at Le Cirque on Mondays. The world famous restaurant has an exciting line up of cabaret and Jazz artists appearing in their cafe every Monday starting at 7:30 PM. This week, Danny Bacher was featured.

Continuing through September 28, two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster returns to the Cafe Carlyle (The Carlyle Hotel - 35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue) for a series of concert performances. Hosted by Good Day New York's Rosanna Scotto, Top Comediennes performed at The Friars Club in NYC to Benefit Women Survivors of the Rwandan Genocide. The SHOP-SHMOOZE-LAUGH event benefited the fair-trade jewelry initiative of SAME SKY (founder Francine LeFrak), an organization that offers employment to women living with HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Keith Lockhart led the Boston Pops in an evening concert in the Shed on August 16, with celebrated pianist, vocalist, and archivist of the great American Songbook, Michael Feinstein. The evening featured some of the most beloved tunes in the American songbook repertoire. Special guests included Broadway and television star Cheyenne Jackson and actress and singer Faith Prince.
