After spending the year "bringing down the house" in Chicago (Variety) and being a "glorious, full-blooded voice" in Giant at the Public Theater (Wall Street Journal), KT sets her sights on Christmas, with a night of carols re-written, standards re-imagined, and New York's finest, funniest voices. Having penned three albums and two-and-a-half musicals, this "rich-voiced powerhouse" (Los Angeles Times) promises to "put the mayhem back in Bethlehem" (Katie Thompson) at 54 Below. Longtime songwriting team MARCY HEISLER (Author/Lyricist) and ZINA GOLDRICH (Composer) are set to make their 2014 Broadway debut with EVER AFTER, directed by Kathleen Marshall and produced by Kevin McCollum, Scott Landis and Philip Morgaman. They were the first women ever honored with the Fred Ebb Award for Musical Theatre Songwriting, and Heisler was awarded the 2012 Kleban Prize for Outstanding Lyrics.

The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene just presented a remarkable concert event celebrating the folk legend and actor Theodore Bikel in anticipation of his 90th birthday in May 2014. 'Miracle of Miracles: A Chanukah Extravaganza' filled the stage at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway, last night, December 2 with one rare musical treat after another. Featured in the all-star cast were the beloved Emmy-winning actor Fyvush Finkel, klezmer giant Frank London, the Russian concert phenomenon Psoy Korolenko and the Broadway actors Joanne Borts ('Once') and Elmore James, among many others. Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel this month with their evening of swinging standards. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. Long time Friar Jamie deRoy brought her long running and hugely successful Jamie deRoy & friends variety show to the Milton Berle Room at the legendary Friars Club last night The friends in this addition of Jamie's show were Christina Bianco, Daisy Jopling, Reese Waters, Wade Preston, Penny Fuller and Anita Gillette. Ron Abel was music director and Barry Kleinbort directed.

Frank Sinatra Jr. and Steve Tyrell headlined "Come Fly with Me: Celebrate Sinatra's Songwriter"-a special program honoring the 100th anniversary of the birth of legendary songwriter Sammy Cahn. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and New Jersey Performing Arts Center co-presented the one-day-only program on Sunday, November 24, at NJPAC in Newark.

The Museum of the City of New York just presented legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim with its Louis Auchincloss Prize at a gala dinner that included a musical tribute featuring Tony Award winners and nominees. Cabaret! will took place last night, November 19th; it was a rare opportunity to recognize a living legend, and in an intimate setting. Singing Sondheim favorites were some of musical theater's most talented performers, including Gregg Edelman, Harvey Evans, Judy Kaye, Howard McGillin, Victoria Mallory, and Sarah Stiles under the direction of Michael Montel and music director Larry Yurman. Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, celebrated BSC's New Works Initiative with a BSC in NYC at a benefit last night at the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse. The event was co-chaired by Heather Nolin, Mary Ann Quinson, Rosita Sarnoff and Eda Sorokoff. Among the attendees were Tommy Tune, Julie Budd, and Producers Michael Alden and Jamie deRoy.
