The Triad Theatre (158 W. 72nd Street) will host Bawdy!, a raucous evening of Burlesque, Variety, Drag, and knock-your-socks-off production numbers. Hosted by the fishnet clad baritone Jesse Luttrell, Bawdy! will be held on October 1st from 9:00pm-10:30pm. Special guests include Poor Baby Bree, Poppi Kramer, and the devilish Bawdy Dancers, plus the burlesque talents of Layla Lepore, Jewel Reebox, Krystal Charms, Ria Rhinestone and Erin Gellgems.

The Audrey Herman Spotlighters Theatre is set to hold the musical auditions workshop, Preparing and Performing a Musical Audition. Given by Michael Tan (Musical Director, Vocal Coach, Accompanist), the workshop will be held at the theatre on Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Silver-screen wit collides with behind-the-scenes lunacy in Once in a Lifetime, George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart's classic screwball spoof of Hollywood. Edward Asner and Jonathan Silverman head the cast when L.A. Theatre Works records five performances for radio broadcast, directed by the co-author's multiple award-winning son, Christopher Hart, at the Skirball Cultural Center October 21- 25. L.A. Theatre Works' nationally syndicated radio theater series airs weekly, broadcasting locally in Southern California on KPCC 89.3 and streaming on demand at www.latw.org.

HART (Hillsboro Artists Regional Theatre) continues its 15th season with a production of the nostalgic hit Forever Plaid. The show opens on Friday, October 16 and runs through November 15th with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2pm. With this 2009-2010 season, HART has a new start time for all of their evening shows of 7:30pm.

Page 73 Productions (Liz Jones and Asher Richelli, Executive Directors) and New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director; Sarah Cameron Sunde, Associate Director) will present the world premiere of Heidi Schreck's riveting new play "Creature," directed by Leigh Silverman. This Off Broadway engagement will be performed at the Ohio Theatre, 66 Wooster Street (between Spring and Broome Streets). Previews begin on Tuesday, October 27, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will run through November 21.

William Shakespeare's As You Like It begins its run at Harlequin Productions on October 1st and runs through the 24th. Treachery, jealousy, banishment, escape and multiple disguises all lead to a hilarious romantic romp in the forest of Arden. The daughter of a banished duke, Rosalind, flees the court with her cousin Celia. Once in the wild wood, she takes on the guise of a boy in order to advise her heart's desire, Orlando, and 'cure' him of the madness and foolery of Love. Good luck!

The Santa Monica engagement of Kooza marks a homecoming for the Quebec-based international performance company, which made its U.S. debut in 1987 and had a successful performance run at the venerable Pier the same year. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Cirque du Soleil will present Kooza under the blue and yellow Grand Chapiteau (big top) at the Santa Monica Pier from October 16 through December 20.
