POLKADOTS: The Cool Kids Musical, a new musical celebrating the diversity among children, will have a private industry reading today, August 28th, in New York City. Creator Douglas Lyons (Five Points: An American Musical) is the show's lyricist and co-composed the score alongside Greg Borowsky (Sony ATV). The book is by Melvin Tunstall III.

On August 28th the completely original new show Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical will get it's first private industry readings in NYC. The all-star cast features Gerard Canonico (Spring Awakening) as Sky Square, Brittney Johnson (Beautiful) as Lily Polkadot, Talia Thiesfield (HBO's Veep) as Penelope Square and Russell Arden Koplin (Les Miserables) as Mrs. Square/Mama Square.

THE REPORT is set to begin performances this Saturday, August 15th at the New York International Fringe Festival. Based on the novel by Jessica Francis Kane, THE REPORT is adapted by Martin Casella, author of THE IRISH CURSE which earned the Outstanding Playwriting Award in the 2005 FringeNYC and went on to a highly acclaimed Off-Broadway run. The director is Alan Muraoka, whose credits include FALSETTOLAND (NAATCO), KARAOKE STORIES and 'Sesame Street.'

Jason C. Tramm will conduct New Jersey's Adelphi Orchestra, organ virtuoso Gordon Turk, featured soloists Soprano Monica Ziglar, Mezzo-Soprano Martha Bartz, Tenor Ronald Naldi and Bass Justin Beck with the 100 member Great Auditorium Choir in works by Leonard Bernstein, Felix Mendelssohn, and Antonio Vivaldi on Sunday August 23 at 7PM at The Great Auditorium, Ocean Grove, New Jersey.

Project NunwayLA returns to the runway onSunday, October 11, 2015 with another fabulous event to benefit two wonderful Los Angeles community charities, BEING ALIVE LA & LIFE GROUP LA.

A jazz music festival is turning heads in Mexico and it's called 'The New Standards'. The festival is a music project by Mexican musical theatre director, composer and arranger Jaime Lozano (The Yellow Brick Road Off Boradway) and his life partner Florencia Cuenca. They have put their great passions together: jazz and musical theatre.

In celebration of the in-home Diamond Edition release of 'Aladdin,' Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre is thrilled to present a limited run of the magical Disney classic Sept. 17- Oct. 7, 2015. Before the movie, El Capitan guests will be greeted by Genie, live on stage. The El Capitan will also host a special opening-night screening on Thursday, September 17 at 7 p.m.

La MaMa - the world-renowned theatre complex located on East 4th Street in New York City's East Village - will begin its 54th year this fall with an impressive roster of local and international artists, both established and emerging.

SINGLE ROOM OCCUPANCY is bringing the modern dating world to life at FringeNYC, beginning this Friday at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre. Creator and actor BEN RAUCH chats to BroadwayWorld about writing the music for Single Room Occupancy and bringing his love of Phil Collins to the forefront of this new, hilarious, pop/rock comedy musical.
