Billie Holiday is back for a concert event that will be the talk of not only New York City, but anyone who loves this musicians amazing, soulful music.

Billie Holiday is coming to The Apollo Theater in Harlem thanks to Holligram USA this fall. The company has previously brought back Nat King Cole, Liberace and Buddy Holly. Now, Holiday will grace the stage and bring to life the music she made so iconic.

The Apollo Theater website reads, "Her voice will touch your heart. Her presence on the Apollo stage will captivate all who witness it. For the first time ever and only in New York City at the Apollo, the magic of holographic technology will transport you to the concert of your dreams as Lady Day takes the stage again."

Billie Holiday, also known as Lady Day, appeared live at this celebrated Harlem venue multiple times during her storied career. When Holiday moved to Brooklyn with her mother, she began performing in the 1930s. During these early performances she began to make a name for himself in the local bar scene. The Apollo Theater was a special venue in Holiday's career. She made her debut at the Apollo at the young age of 19 in 1934, the year the theater opened its doors. This past April Billie Holiday was inducted into the Apollo Walk of Fame on the singer's 100th birthday.

In 2014, Billie Holiday became a hit topic on Broadway when six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald brought the late singer to life in the monumental musical Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. The play told the story of the singer during one of her last performances in Philadelphia in 1959.
