Project NunwayLA Hits the Runway, 10/11

Project NunwayLA returns to the runway onSunday, October 11, 2015 with another fabulous event to benefit two wonderful Los Angeles community charities, BEING ALIVE LA & LIFE GROUP LA.

Project NunwayLA is an outrageous fashion show & designer competition - featuring over 30 talented Designers, including: Hollywood veterans, established designers, and students alike. This year's event takes place during LA Fashion Week in the Historic District of Downtown Los Angeles at The Mayan Theatre, as a lavish backdrop to this one-of-a-kind fashion show and designer competition - ready to entertain sold out crowds.

This year, Project NunwayLA and AIDS/LifeCycle have joined forces! Project NuwayLA is proud to introduce AIDS/LifeCycle as their newest Platinum Sponsor. AIDS/LifeCycle is a 545 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles over 7 days. This year marked another record breaking year for the Ride, raising $16.6 million for the HIV-related services provided by the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

As a Platinum Sponsor, AIDS/LifeCycle will be the Official Host of the Project NunwayLA After Party & Celebration, held at The Mayan Theater directly following the show.

Each year and in the tradition of Project Runway, Project NunwayLA challenges Designer Contestants to create outrageous fashion based on a theme. This year's theme: TAROT inspires designers to embody the mysteries of the Tarot, while bringing to life avant-garde visuals, creativity, and over-the-top fashionable art.

Designers are encouraged to create outfits with little to no cash, putting their creative visions to great task, while stretching the possibilities beyond the obvious. Fashion Designers vie for the Top Designer Award - a prize of $500 - donated to the charity of his/her choice & bragging rights as TOP DESIGNER!!

Designers are teamed with models - the always outrageous Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Sister models bring the designer creations to life while hitting their best stride in a runway show that celebrates extravagance, outrageous, thought-provoking imagination and art.
