The creators and cast of the musical NOW. HERE. THIS. and Vineyard Theatre, where the musical debuted Off-Broadway in March, will soon release an original cast recording for the show. Check out the just-released album art below!

According to the Chicago Tribune, Cyndi Lauper just wrote a new song for Kinky Boots, which is currently playing in Chicago. 'I Come to the Rescue,' which was featured in the Act 1, has been replaced by a song called 'Step One.' Lauper wrote the song last weekend and it was added to the show on Tuesday night. Additionally, book writer Harvey Fierstein has added 37 new pages to the script since opening night.

Additional casting and the design team has been announced for Tennessee Williams' CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF starring Scarlett Johansson as Maggie, Ciaran Hinds as Big Daddy, Benjamin Walker as Brick and Debra Monk as Big Mama, directed by Rob Ashford. CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF will open at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street) on Thursday, January 17, 2013. Previews will begin Tuesday, December 18. This limited engagement runs 15 weeks only, through March 30, 2013.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will open the 2013 edition of the TCM Classic Film Festival with the world premiere of a brand new restoration of the musical classic Funny Girl (1968). TCM's own Robert Osborne, who serves as official host for the festival, will introduce Funny Girl to kick off the four-day, star-studded event taking place Thursday, April 25 - Sunday, April 28, 2013, in Hollywood. In addition to Funny Girl, the TCM Classic Film Festival will feature world premiere restorations of The General (1926), Giant (1956) and The Great Escape (1962), with many additional titles to be announced later.

Due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy, the Dramatists Guild of America is cancelling their 2012 Awards Night on Monday, November 5 at The Players Club. The Dramatists Guild will reschedule the Awards Night to a later date, which will be announced in the coming weeks. Playwright Quiara Hudes (In the Heights) will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Next Generation Latina event, hosted by Mastercard and Latina Magazine. The breakfast event will take place at the Affinia Hotel in NYC on November 12th and will honor 10 Latina women from around the country.

Some of Broadway's best young talent will sing dazzling new arrangements of songs from Beyonce's four hit albums, including a few selections from her previous group, Destiny's Child. The concert is the third of the "Broadway Sings" series; previously honored were Adele and Michael Jackson.

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel welcomes back the acclaimed husband-and-wife team John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey to the legendary Café Carlyle. Dubbed as good as it gets in any entertainment medium' by Stephen Holden of the New York Times, Mr. Pizzarelli and Ms. Molaskey will play a month-long engagement through November 24th. The new musical FINDING NEVERLAND just premiered in Leicester on September 22, and according to the New York Times, lead producer Harvey Weinstein is looking to bring the show to Broadway in the 2013-14 season.

A new advertisement for Madison Square Garden is creating quite a stir in the Broadway community because of its homophobic message. The poster reads: 'It's Friday night. The New 42nd Street Gala, in celebration of the New Victory Education Programs, will honor the Australia Council for the Arts with the New Victory Arts Award on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. The annual event will feature a special performance by the Melbourne-based Australian troupe Circus Oz at The New Victory Theater, followed by a dinner reception at The Liberty Theater.

The November 1 broadcast of 'Katie' will devote the entire hour to ANNIE, now in previews on Broadway. The broadcast will include interviews with stars Katie Finneran (Miss Hannigan), Anthony Warlow (Oliver Warbucks) and Lilla Crawford (Annie), animal trainer Bill Berloni and Sunny (Sandy), original stage and film Annies, Andrea McArdle and Aileen Quinn, and the first network performances by Lilla Crawford and the Orphans (Madi Rae DiPietro, Georgi James, Junah Jang, Tyrah Skye Odoms, Taylor Richardson and Emily Rosenfeld). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Benedict Cumberbatch has signed on to star in an upcoming biopic on Beatles manager Brian Epstein. Sherlock director Paul McGuigan has also signed on for the project, and Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman will produce under Playtone.

Today in 2010, The Scottsboro Boys opened at the Lyceum Theatre, where it ran for 49 performances. The Scottsboro Boys is a musical with a book by David Thompson, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. Based on the Scottsboro Boys trial, the musical is one of the last collaborations between Kander and Ebb prior to the latter's death. The musical has the framework of a minstrel show, altered to 'create a musical social critique.' Despite closing on Broadway in December 2010, the show received twelve Tony Award nominations in May 2011, but failed to win any.

On Wednesday, October 31st, most shows that were scheduled to go on will perform for both the matinee and evening performances.

The producers of A Christmas Story, The Musical have announced that, due to Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath, the production has rescheduled the start of performances on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre until Wednesday November 7 at 7PM.

NBC today announced changes to its 2013 primetime mid-season schedule highlighted by the premieres of three new series, including comedy '1600 Penn,' from one of the architects of 'Modern Family'; an intriguing drama 'Deception' (formerly 'Infamous'); and producer Eva Longoria's big reality relationship show 'Ready for Love.' In addition, several of the network's biggest hits will return, including 'Smash' (February 5), which this season will feature The second season of SMASH will include a growing list of high-profile guest stars, including Nikki Blonsky, Jesse L. Martin, Jeremy Jordan, Sean Hayes and Jennifer Hudson.
