THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON will officially open on Broadway today, March 6, starring Brian Cox, Jim Gaffigan, Chris Noth, Jason Patric and Kiefer Sutherland. Jason Miller's Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning play THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON is directed by Gregory Mosher and plays at the Bernard B Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45TH Street). This is a limited engagement through Sunday, May 29th, 2011.

Nathan Lane, Kevin Chamberlin, Carolee Carmello, Terrence Mann, Krysta Rodriguez and Wesley Taylor will exit Broadway's THE ADDAMS FAMILY after their final performances on March 6 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

Tony Award-winning director John Doyle, who has previously staged Broadway revivals of Stephen Sondheim's SWEENEY TODD and COMPANY is set to direct the composer-lyricist's musical MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park in March 2012.

Learn the basics of Improv acting at a 3 hour Introductory workshop at Spotlighters Theatre, taught by Ron Burr (Creative Director of Drop3 Improv) and members of the Drop3 Improv Troupe. The workshop will be designed as an introductory workshop for Improv/Comedy Acting - but will be tailored to the performance level of the students attending.

Freeport Players announce AUDITIONS for 10 principles and approximately 15 chorus/ensemble members in Gilbert & Sullivan's well-known light operetta. Auditons will be held Sunday, March 6, 6-9pm and Tuesday, March 8, 7-9pm, at Freeport Middle School, 19 Kendall Ln. Actors should be prepared to read from the script and sing a song from the score. (Scripts are available online from a variety of sources.) Tony Award-winning actress Lillias White delighted students as their special surprise guest during the Broadway Artists Alliance 2011 Winter Workshop. Lillias White (Fela, The Life, etc.) lent her talents for a surprise Q&A with the students of Broadway Artists Alliance. White shared her experiences in the business and expert advice to the 100 eager up-and-coming young artists ages 10 to 21.

'30 Rock' star Alec Baldwin has joined the cast of 'Rock of Ages,' New Line's adaptation of the Broadway musical, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film's director Adam Shankman announced Baldwin's participation via Twitter on Friday, saying: ' Based on info I got today, I'm gonna confirm Alec Baldwin as Dennis in 'Rock Of Ages.' Hollah.'

The Final Gift, after more than six years of filming, is 'in the can' and moving into post-production. The Final Gift is a documentary that follows filmmaker Therese Bartholomew's pursuit to find meaning in her brother's murder. Her vision for the film grew out of her desire to meet and understand the killer. In December 2010, that meeting occurred and was filmed in a South Carolina prison.

After working together on the critically acclaimed run of the original play 'Keep Your Baggage With You (at all times)' at Theater for the New City in 2010 (written by Jonathan Blitstein, directed by Daniel Talbott), Daniel Abeles, Jonathan Blitstein, Nate Miller and Laura Ramadei teamed up to launch a new theater company called LESSER AMERICA. Theater For the New City has granted Lesser America a residency affording the group three full-scale productions in its inaugural year, the first residency of its kind at the theater.
