ASC at New American Shakespeare Tavern Presents KING LEAR

The Atlanta Shakespeare Company at The New American Shakespeare Tavern will present KING LEAR, directed by Tony Brown, from March 4 through April 4, 2010.
The ties that bind in King Lear are woven of deceit, greed, grief and joyfulness. Often regarded as Shakespeare's crowning achievement, this tragedy about the relationship between parents and their offspring shows us how quickly we become blinded by fear and killed with love. The production will feature Jeffrey Watkins as King Lear with Mary Ruth Ralston as Cordelia, Erin Considine as Goneril, Laura Cole as Regan, Matt Felten as King of France, and Drew Reeves as Duke of Albany. Other cast members include Dan Brown, Mike Niedzwiecki, Troy Willis, Doug Kaye, Daniel Parvis, Matt Nitchie, Dan Brown, Clarke Weigle, Brian Mayberry, Jeffrey Stephenson, Sevawn Foster, and Katie Wine.Performance will be Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 6:30 PM.The Tavern opens one hour and fifteen minutes before the performance for food and beverage service. Chef for a Night provides a British-pub-style menu for dinner. The Tavern has a beer, wine, coffee, tea, and soft drink bar that serves Bass and Guinness on tap.Seating is done on a "first come, first served" basis within each designated section. Table seating is limited however all seats can accommodate food and beverages.
