Cold War Kids have officially announced the release of their eagerly anticipated new album. NEW AGE NORMS 1 arrives Friday, November 1 via CWKTWO/AWAL; digital and physical pre-orders – including CD and a white vinyl 12” pressed at 45 rpm – are available beginning today. Today, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jenny O. has announced new national tour dates with R&B songwriter Faye Webster. Today, the Recording Academy announced songwriter Sue Ennis and five-time GRAMMY® winner Lalah Hathaway will lead the Academy's National Advocacy Committee. Serving as the voice for all music creators in Washington, D.C., working closely with the Academy's Advocacy team, the committee will continue to build on the momentum of the transformative Music Modernization Act as the landmark legislation approaches its one-year anniversary.

The Country Music Association is continuing to further the expansion of Country Music abroad by securing the television broadcast of the CMA Awards on German television. “The CMA Awards” will be broadcast by RTL's free-to-air Vox channel in Germany, Switzerland and Austria this November.  In addition, RTL has also licensed CMA's two additional TV properties, “CMA Fest” and “CMA Country Christmas.”

NBC News has created a new Climate Unit dedicated to covering the most important issues affecting the environment globally. As part of the Climate Unit's debut, NBC News, MSNBC, Telemundo and NBC News Digital will kick off “Climate in Crisis,” a week-long series focused on climate issues, beginning Sunday, September 15.

USA Network announced today that Amanda Peet (“The Romanoffs”) and Christian Slater (MR. ROBOT) will star in the second season of anthology series DIRTY JOHN, titled DIRTY JOHN: THE BETTY BRODERICK STORY. This second installment will be based on another epic true tale of love gone wrong -- a story that spans the 1960s to the '80s, through the breakdown of a marriage that Oprah deemed one of “America's messiest divorces” even before it ended in double homicide.

Amid a galaxy of country music stars gathered in downtown Nashville for its annual awards shows, industry VIPs will celebrate one of the brightest when Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy Travis receives the prestigious ASCAP Founders Award at the 57th annual American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Country Music Awards. Netflix will debut a feature-length concert special from Ben Platt, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The special will be filmed live from Platt's final stop on tour, his sold-out show at Radio City Music Hall on September 29.
