The cast of Ain't Too Proud stopped by The View on Thursday to perform a medley of songs from the Broadway musical.

Falling in the middle of their 2019 fall tour, this September marked the 20th Anniversary of award­-winning Colorado bluegrass band, Yonder Mountain String Band's critically acclaimed debut album, Elevation. Out of print for years and considered by decades-long fans to be the band's career-defining album, it only seemed natural for YMSB to celebrate this milestone with a 20th-anniversary 180g double vinyl re-release. Originally released on the band's own independent Frog Pad Records, Elevation features founding members Dave Johnston, Ben Kaufmann, Adam Aijala, and Jeff Austin, along with guest musicians Mike Marshall, Darol Anger, Sally Van Meter, and Celeste Krenz. The 20th Anniversary release of Elevation is available now in limited quantities at the merch table and online.

The acclaimed electro-pop duo Electric Guest have teamed up with innovative French producer, Yuksek, for an upbeat, dancefloor-ready rework of the fan favorite track, “1 4 Me.” The original track is off the duo's critically acclaimed album KIN, which dropped early last month. THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT has announced the formation of a new head writing team, it was revealed today by executive producers Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht and Tom Purcell. Jay Katsir, who already serves as head writer, is joined by Ariel Dumas, who was promoted to her new role as head writer after working as a writer and digital producer on THE LATE SHOW since 2015. In addition to serving as head writer, Katsir's responsibilities have expanded to include supervising producer. Opus Moreschi, who also serves as a supervising producer, will take on added responsibilities, such as overseeing long lead projects for the show, while remaining an integral part of the writing staff.

New York based duo Tempers, comprised of Jasmine Golestaneh and Eddie Cooper, have been diligently carving out their own unique niche within dark indie, electronica and synth-pop circles since their formation. After a series of digital singles in 2013, Tempers began solidifying their singular identity of rigorous electronic production blended with instinctual, unleashed vocals. Following well received tours in Europe and the United States, Tempers saw the release of their debut album entitled Services, released in Germany via the highly regarded cult imprint Aufnahme + Wiedergabe and quickly became a staple in the synth-pop/post punk scenes in both the United States and in Europe.

Next year, The Flenser will be celebrating 10 years of releasing music.  The label will mark the occasion at the 2020 edition of Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands with a showcase featuring some of their current artists (including the European debut of Giles Corey with a full band).  Flenser artists performing at Roadburn 2020 (April 16-19): Giles Corey, Midwife, Drowse, Elizabeth Colour Wheel, and Mamaleek.

Ida Mae have announced the upcoming release of their Live In Memphis EP. Craft Recordings is thrilled to announce The Memphis Masters—a limited video series celebrating various albums from the iconic Stax Records label, showcasing its enduring musical legacy, as well as its influence on Memphis, TN. Created in partnership with Memphis Record Pressing and Memphis Tourism, and directed by Andrew Trent Fleming of TheFilmJerk Media, the multi-part series was shot in several locations around the city—also known as the home of blues, soul and rock 'n' roll—including such historic landmarks as Sam Phillips Recording Service, Royal Studios and the Stax Museum of American Soul Music.
