Detroit, MI noise rock quartet Teener have released their new Auger 7' today via Third Man Records. To celebrate, they'll be performing at Third Man's Detroit HQ tonight with Meat Wave and PRC. Judah & the Lion have premiered the video for 'Alright' - the latest single off of their stellar third LP Pep Talks, which was released earlier this year via Cletus the Van/Caroline. Mo Troper is returning with his 3rd album on Portland's Tender Loving Empire on February 14th and has shared the newest single today, “In Love With Everyone”. The new song, clocking in at just over two minutes, is about the pernicious aspects of scattershot love and maybe even missing out on something, or someone, because you're just too enamored with everyone else. Troper details the true-life story behind the song saying it is “about a date I went on with someone that I thought about every day for four years. They sang a Four Seasons song at a karaoke bar in Portland called Chopsticks and I fell in love with them. It didn't turn into anything then because I was also in love with everyone else. (Though not nearly as much.)” The new singles continues to highlight the mature, but not too mature, full sound of Mo's new album and new songs replete with horns, synths, video game bloops and everything you could want from an adorable, maybe kind of sad, power-pop tune. To even further put his money where his mouth is, both in terms of his nerdy obsession with video games and love of music Mo Toper opened a new all-ages venue/video game/record store in his home of Portland this Monday. In a world of shuttered venues and the slow death of record stores, his choice speaks to his tenacity and love. It's pretty sweet.

MGMT has shared a new song and video for “In The Afternoon,” a track the band debuted live in Las Vegas last month and will be available on their newly announced limited edition 12” single. The video for “In The Afternoon” was produced and directed by MGMT. The b-side features the track “As You Move Through The World,” with both songs produced by MGMT, and mixed by Dave Fridmann.

Netflix today announced the untitled scripted series about the Swedish start-up that shook the entire music industry and evolved into becoming one of the world's leading music services - Spotify. The limited series is inspired by the book 'Spotify Untold' by authors Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud - both business reporters at Swedish Dagens Industri - and will be produced by Yellow Bird UK, a Banijay Group company and the production company behind the upcoming Netflix series Young Wallander. Acclaimed Per-Olav Sørensen (Quicksand, Home for Christmas and Nobel) will be directing and Berna Levin (Young Wallander, Hidden and The Girl in the Spider's Web) will serve as executive producer.

NBC (6.054 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) and FOX (3.841 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) shared the adults 18-49 crown on Tuesday as the latter served up a special 'The Masked Singer' (5.757 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) followed by a new 'The Moodys' (2.231 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) and the season finale of 'The Moodys' (1.619 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14).

Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band Steep Canyon Rangers will bring their high-energy show to Smothers Theatre at Pepperdine University at 8 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts.

Comedy Central announced today that Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik has been renewed for an eight-episode second season. In Good Talk, Jeselnik employs his signature acerbic style in tongue-in-cheek interviews with his fellow comedians about their careers, influences and what it's like to live in his massive shadow. Jeselnik and his guests center their extremely funny conversations around career, stand up, stories and bits and participate in elegantly bizarre studio segments.

Today, preeminent Los Angeles punk band Bad Religion and Chicago cult rock heroes Alkaline Trio announce a North American co-headlining tour. The tour will kick-off on March 26 in Los Angeles, CA and wrap April 19 in Milwaukee, WI. Tickets will go on sale Friday, December 13 at 12pm local time.
