Today, the Los Angeles-based production house American Primitive debuted “Invasion Night,” the official music video for The Rentals' recent single. Created by former Buddyhead founder Travis Keller and his partners at American Primitive, including cinematographer/editor Jacob Mendel, 'Invasion Night' is a fantastical slice of Armageddon-inspired science fiction. The short film takes place just moments after a vengeful alien adversary instantly and effortlessly brings near total annihilation to our unsuspecting, naive planet. In the aftermath of this global apocalypse, a connection forms between the last two living beings on Earth, a lone woman and a small dog... 'Invasion Night' is their story.

Seattle musician SYML aka Brian Fennell, like many in the arts community, was forced to cut his North American tour with Dermot Kennedy short due to the terrible COVID-19 pandemic. Seeing first-hand the effect that canceled events has had on every part of the music industry, he decided to release a three-song live session on Bandcamp with all proceeds being donated to Musicares Covid-19 Relief Fund. The tracks were recorded in February at The Nest Studios in Echo Park, Los Angeles, are out on Bandcamp and Youtube now with all DSP's to follow on April 17th.

Today, the new Nashville-based band The Voodoo Children released the official video for 'Caroline,' the first single from their forthcoming debut EP Instant Nostalgia - Side A out this spring via Blood Bathe Records. The Voodoo Children is an ever-evolving community-based project revolving around Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, producer and visual artist JT Daly, who fronted the Nashville-based band Paper Route and more recently co-produced K. Flay's album Every Where Is Some Where, including the hit single 'Blood in the Cut' (for which Daly received Grammy nominations for Best Rock Song and Best Engineered Album).

Today Amsterdam's The Mauskovic Dance Band have announced they will be pushing back the release date of their forthcoming EP Shadance Hall. The EP marks their debut on Dekmantel Records and will now be released on out April 17th. On Shadance Hall, they concoct a tantalising brew of no-wave, psych rock, cumbia, power dub and numerous other colourful shades of global grooves.
