NEWSical The Musical is the forever changing, completely un-sanitized musical mockery of all the news that's fit to spoof. From Honey Boo Boo to Paula Deen, Andrew Weiner to A-Rod, marriage equality to Kim and Kanye's baby North West, NEWSical The Musical sets all of today's biggest pop culture headlines to song. There was a British invasion last night at the Little Shubert Theatre. The hit off-Broadway show Potted Potter hosted the cast of Matilda, the tenants of the Shubert Theatre on Broadway. Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner welcomed the four actresses playing 'Matilda'- Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon, Milly Shapiro. Check out photos from the special event below!

Just yesterday it was announced that the original Broadway cast of First Date, the critically acclaimed new romantic musical comedy starring Zachary Levi and Krysta Rodriguez, with music and lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, will be recorded. Executive produced by Altar Identity Studios, the album will be recorded and released by Yellow Sound Label, produced by Michael Croiter and Dominick Amendum and will be available through Amazon, iTunes and everywhere music is sold in the fall of 2013. FIRST DATE opened last night on Broadway and we've got photos from the curtain call for the hot new musical starring Zachary Levi, star of TV's 'Chuck,' Disney's feature film Tangled and Thor: The Dark World, making his Broadway debut opposite Broadway and television ingenue Krysta Rodriguez ('Smash,' The Addams Family).

The evening was hosted by Andrew Kober and Danielle Wade. Andrew Kober made his Broadway debut in the 2009 Tony Award winning revival of Hair after originating the roles of Father and Margaret Mead in the Shakespeare in the Park production. He also played the roles in the West End revival in 2010. He has also appeared on television in 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Pan Am' and 'House of Cards.'

On the heels of last night's triumphant first preview performance, producers of Broadway's Forever Tangohave announced that 'Dancing with the Stars' duoKarina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will extend their run for an additional two weeks. Originally scheduled to appear for three weeks only, the couple will now perform in the internationally acclaimed entertainment phenomenon through Sunday, August 11, 2013. Special guest vocalist and five-time Grammy Award-winner, Gilberto Santa Rosa, will appear through July 28, 2013 as previously announced. Earlier this year, Lin-Manuel Miranda held a benefit concert at the United Palace for Cultural Arts, In The Heights: In Concert which was presented by Viva Broadway, an initiative of The Broadway League that aims to promote Broadway theatre within the Latino Community. A surplus of ticket sales proceeds went towards The Broadway League's Family First Nights initiative - a nationwide program specifically designed to encourage economically disadvantaged families to attend theatre and local arts programs.

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting presented their Eighth Annual Stella by Starlight Benefit Gala last night at Espace in New York City. This year's honorees included acting luminaries Elaine Stritch and George Takei, Broadway idol Stephen Sondheim and real estate mogul Charles S. Cohen.
