Fox recently release a promo for the upcoming season premiere of the hit television show GLEE, which is set to return to the air on April 13th. The promo features teasers of the season, as well as a sneak peek at several performances viewers will see this season.

During a recent stop in Atlanta on his National Tour of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Broadway star Harvey Fierstein made a stop at the Aurora Theatre for the first regional production of his show, A CATERED AFFAIR, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post. Fierstein attended the Friday morning performance and offered the audience a talkback session following the performance.

Recent reports that the hit television show GLEE is in talks to create a stage show with MTI are rumors, according to a report in Variety. MTI had confirmed the reports, however, a Fox Broadcasting Company representative said there have been no discussions with any theatrical licensing company regarding GLEE.

San Jose Repertory Theatre will host Ed Anser in a solo performance of FDR as part of the Rep's Summer Blockbuster series. Ed Asner, recipient of seven Emmy Awards ('Mary Tyler Moore Show,' 'Lou Grant') and 16 nominations, five Golden Globe Awards, and a member of the TV Academy Hall of Fame, will star in the solo performance drama, FDR from July 14th to July 18th at San Jose Rep.

Williamston Theatre announces its production of IT CAME FROM MARS by playwright, Joseph Zettelmaier, running from March 31 to April 18th. MARS is a recipient of the prestigious Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award, which is granted to only a handful of theatres nationwide. This world premiere comedy starred Wayne David Parker, Sandra Birch, Joseph Albright, Jacob Hodgson, Alysia Kolascz and Morgan Chard. It is directed by WT Artistic Director Tony Caselli (A PICASSO).

The first North American National Tour of WICKED will celebrate its five year anniversary on Saturday, March 20, at the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House in Miami. Since its first performance in Toronto in March 2005, over 5.5 million people have seen the first North American National Tour of WICKED.

This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award winner is adapted by Patrick Barlow (Olivier Award for Best New Comedy), directed by Maria Aitken and features sets and costumes by Peter McKintosh. The production is based on an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon and on the book by John Buchan.

Opera star Angela Gheorghiu will take over the role of Mimi in the Puccini Opera LA BOHEME at the Metropolitan Opera beginning on March 20th. Gheorguhiu will replace the current star, Anna Netrebko, in the role.

Lauren Kennedy will perform at The Canal Room on April 4th for a concert entitled 'Lauren Kennedy and the Freakers Ball.' Kennedy will be joined by a number of Broadway veterans, including Julia Burrows, Michelle Kinney, Alan Campbell, Gina Stewart, and Max Von Essen. The concert will begin at 8:00pm.
