Aside Productions will present ALTAR BOYZ and A PIECE OF MY HEART in January as their next set of productions. ALTAR BOYZ will be performed January 7th and 9th at 7:00pm and A PIECE OF MY HEART will be performed January 8th at 7:00pm and January 9th at 3:00pm.

ALTAR BOYZ is a foot-stomping, rafter-raising, musical comedy about a fictitious Christian boy-band on the last night of their national "Raise the Praise" tour. The Boyz are five all-singing, all-dancing heartthrobs from Ohio: Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham. With their tight harmonies and spectacular choreography, the ALTAR BOYZ will delight your audiences. As they perform their signature hits such as "Rhythm In Me," "The Calling," and "I Believe," the Boyz question their loyalty to each other and ask whether or not faith is really holding them together. They finally deliver a message of unity, that "there is no star as bright as its constellation, no harmony in a single voice."

ALTAR BOYZ is directed by Diane Goldsmith with assistance from John Watkins. The cast includes Tyler Lewis, Derek Manning, AJ Rogers, Santiago Delgado and James Canfield. Performances will take place Asbury Hall in The Woodlands United Methodist Church.

A PIECE OF MY HEART is a powerful, true drama of six women who went to Viet Nam five nurses and a country western singer booked by an unscrupulous agent to entertain the troops. The play portrays each young woman before, during, and after her tour in the war torn jungle and ends as each leaves a personal token at The Wall in Washington.

The cast for A PIECE OF MY HEART features Jessica Canfield as Martha, Taylor Moessinger as Sissy, Cecily Breaux as Mary Jo, Shelby Escamilla as Lee Ann, Diane Goldsmith as Whitney, Kaytie Markfort as Steele, and Cody Due as all American men.

Tickets for both productions are $10 and may be purchased at the door.
