The works of the late, iconoclastic downtown theatre star, Warhol favorite and trailblazer of 'glitter rock,' Jackie Curtis will be featured in the dynamic new revue JUKEBOX JACKIE -- conceived and directed by Tony Award winner Scott Wittman and featuring the leading lights of today's downtown scene -- being given its world-premiere production by La MaMa at the Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) with preview performances starting May 24 prior to its official press opening Wednesday, May 30.

HAPPY DAYS: A New Musical, based on the original TV series set in 1959 Milwaukee, brings to the stage TV family, the Cunninghams, along with Ralph Malph, Potsie and the "King of Cool" himself, Arthur Fonzarelli, for a family-friendly musical. TMP's Happy Days, A New Musical runs for 14 performances May 4-27, 2012.

Closing Aurora's 20th season is the World Premiere of SALOMANIA, Aurora Theatre Company Artistic Director Tom Ross's first new play commission for the company, written and directed by award-winning Bay Area auteur Mark Jackson (Metamorphosis, Salome, Miss Julie). Workshopped and developed at Aurora in 2010, SALOMANIA features Madeline H.D. Brown (Metamorphosis), Mark Anderson Phillips (Small Tragedy), Alex Moggridge (Betrayed), Liam Vincent (California Shakespeare Theater), Anthony Nemirovsky (Awake and Sing!), Marilee Talkington (Crowded Fire), and Kevin Clarke (Shotgun Players). SALOMANIA plays June 15 through July 22 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley.

Paul Taylor-Mills will present BASH, a new production of Neil LaBute's collection of three darkly brilliant one-act plays, at Barons Court Theatre from Tuesday 5 - Sunday 17 June. James Le Feuvre and Faye Winter, who both appeared in Michael Grandage's production of Hamlet with Jude Law both in the West End End and on Broadway, will star under director Olivia Rowe. Opening night is Wednesday 6 June at 7.45pm.

With hundreds of entries to the talent search via Youtube and Twitter, 10 Finalists - five male and five female - will battle it out in a live final to become a potential Leading Lady and Leading Man of the West End, at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, on Monday 9th July.

On Thursday, May 24 at 8pm, composer and vocalist Lisa Bielawa will present a concert with friends from the chorus of Einstein on the Beach at The Stone (Avenue C and 2nd Street, NYC), as part of a series of performances at the East Village venue curated by Gyan Riley. Lisa Bielawa is the choirmaster of Philip Glass and Robert Wilson's monumental opera, currently touring worldwide. The singers are preparing for their appearance at The Stone, which features vocal music by Bielawa, while on the road together.

The production runs September 4 - November 11, 2012 at Writers' Theatre, 325 Tudor Court in Glencoe.

The International Voices Project will present their first performance of 2012, THIRD WING (TERCER CUERPO) from Argentina, on Tuesday May 8 at 7pm at the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, 31 West Ohio St., in collaboration with Instituto Cervantes and the Consulate General of Argentina in Chicago. Written by Claudio Tocalchir, translated by Jean Graham-Jones and directed by Emilio Williams, the play is free and open to the public.

Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans, who lead the West End cast in the award-winning Ghost the Musical, have recently recorded their own cover version of Somebody That I Used To Know in celebration of Gotye and Kimbra's original. The original single has reached number one in the top forty charts and is currently number one in the Billboard album charts. Since its release on You Tube last Friday, Dillon and Evans' version has currently been seen by over 14,500 people. This track isn't for sale or to download, simply a bit of Ghost the Musical fun for fans of the song and musical to enjoy. Check out the video below!
