Toronto R&B sensation Roy Woods has shared an explosive new track, produced by President Jeff, and video, directed by Cameron Dean, entitled “Shot Again” via OVO Sound to kick things off in 2020. It's the first new music to come from the young crooner since September while Roy has been on a tear over the past year releasing new tracks and visuals, including the recent club anthem “Bubbly,” which has been streamed nearly 10 million times. “Shot Again” is sure to light up the function when it's time for another round as Roy gears up for a new project on the horizon.

American roots artist The Reverend Shawn Amos has announced the April 17 release of Blue Sky, his debut with the newly formed Brotherhood band. The new album is a full-circle moment for the Rev, featuring a group of masterful musicians that includes drummer Brady Blade (Dave Matthews, Indigo Girls), bassist Christopher Thomas (Norah Jones, Carly Simon, Macy Gray) and longtime Rev guitarist Chris “Doctor” Roberts. While his previous release, 2018's politically-charged Breaks It Down, reckoned with the calamity of our current society, the new album looks inward as the Rev explores his own identity and embraces his singer/songwriter past. 

Smoke Fairies release their first new album in four years today: Darkness Brings The Wonders Home. The set is the sixth studio LP from the band. Smoke Fairies are Jessica Davies and Katherine Blamire who first met at school in their native England and for this LP they traveled to our side of the pond to record in Seattle with producer Phil Ek (The Black Angels, Fleet Foxes, The Shins.) Over the course of a rigorous month-long session they adopted a purposely intimate approach to achieving a singular sonic tone.

Buena Vista Records' CB30 released their sentimental new song, “Love That About Her,” today. Written by Christian Clementi, Jay Clementi, and Steven Clawson, the song's touching lyrics tell a story of being enamored with a significant other. The track features beautiful harmonies by younger brother, Brody Clementi, and contrasting instrumentation that creates a tone of sweet emotion throughout the song. CB30 coupled the release with a lyric video for the song as well.

Renowned songwriter and Walkmen co-founder Walter Martin released today his critically acclaimed new album The World At Night via Ile Flottante Music. Produced by multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaufman (The National, Hiss Golden Messenger, The War On Drugs), the album is Martin's most richly orchestrated and grandly cinematic collection to date, as well as his most poignant. Dedicated to his dear friend and late Jonathan Fire*Eater bandmate Stewart Lupton, it balances soul-baring intimacy with sophisticated arrangements as they walk a delicate tightrope between despair and hope, faith and doubt, security and uncertainty.
