Jarrrott Productions is bringing Broadway’s longest-running, Tony-award winning comedy thriller to Austin TX just in time for spooky season! Written in 1978, Ira Levin’s ingeniously constructed play is the perfect marriage of startling gasps and side-splitting guffaws. Directed by David R. Jarrott, Deathtrap opens JP’s 9th season, and also marks the return to their original venue at Trinity Street Playhouse!  Tickets are on sale now, for our limited engagement which opens October 27th and runs through November 12th. Ticket prices range from $15-$35 and advance reservations are strongly suggested as this is sure to be a sold out run. Reserve now for best seats here.

Deathtrap follows playwright Sidney Bruhl, a one-time golden boy of Broadway, struggling to overcome a bout of flops that have rendered his inkwell (and his bank account) dry. When an encounter with a student protégé sparks an idea to collaborate on a new hit thriller, the rug gets pulled from the Bruhl’s idyllic Connecticut home.

Headlining our star-studded cast of Deathtrap are: Kyle Irion making his Jarrott Productions debut as Clifford Anderson; Devin Finn (Seminar) as Sidney Bruhl; JP company member and the Austin Chronicle’s Best Actor of 2023 Natalie D. Garcia (Significant Other; The Pact) as Myra Bruhl; JP company member and Austin theatre icon Janelle Buchanan (The Herd, Significant Other, For Peter Pan…, The Lifespan of a Fact) as Helga ten Dorp; and Austin theatre veteran David Kroll making his Jarrott Productions debut as Porter Milgrim.
