At 8pm. June 20 and June 21, Hyde Park Theatre, The Hidden Room, Whirligig, and Penfold Theatre Company are joining the Ukrainian component of The Worldwide Readings Project to produce readings of four plays by Ukrainian playwrights.We're calling this 75-minute evening Austin for Ukraine, and all proceeds will go to the Emergency Fund for Performance Arts Artists in Ukraine, a fund for the eight thousand artists and their families who are still in Ukraine. The four playwrights have waived royalties, the directors and actors are all donating their services, and HPT is donating the space for the readings. We hope youll join us! The plays, which vary in length from eight to thirty minutes, are The Peed-Upon Armored Personnel Carrier, by Oksana Hrytsenko, Translated by John Freedman and Natalia Bratus (dir. Ken Webster) (Commissioned by a grant from Philip Arnoult's Center for International Theater Development)In The Darkness, by Natalia Blok, Translated by Daisy Hayes (dir.
