City Theatre Austin presents Peter Shaffer's Tony and Oscar-winning masterpiece, directed by Bridget Farias Gates, featuring Brad Forsyth as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Kevin Gates as Antonio Salieri. In the court of the Austrian Emperor Joseph II, Antonio Salieri, the established court composer, faces a rivalry with the vulgar but brilliant prodigy Mozart. The production explores ambition, envy, and the price of greatness. The cast also includes Daniela Recabarren, Willis Turco, Darren Scharf, David Robinson, Robert Fong, Tracy Hurd, Taylor Allen, Becky Richey, Nat McTaggart, Mason James, and Lee Santos.
