The unruly, unpopular Herdman kids check out church one Sunday when they hear something about snacks – and stay to take over the Christmas pageant, teaching everyone the real reason for the season. Laugh, cry and cringe as the Baby Jesus is tossed about, shepherds and wise men warble, and the Angel of the Lord rewrites the time-honored script. We promise, you’ll never look at Christmas ham the same way again. Venue: The Balzer Theatre at Herren’s, 84 Luckie Street NW, downtown next to the Rialto.
