When Everything Was Possible-A Concert (with Comments) debuted at New York City Center. Broadway stars Kurt Peterson and Victoria Mallory delivered a memorable evening of story and song. On September 7, 2013, they bring their extraordinary production to RiverCenter for one night only!

"I was flabbergasted. Thank you for transporting me and the audience to a time when "everything was possible;" a beautifully produced evening of song and memory." - Angela Lansbury

Making this performance truly special is the fact that Columbus, Georgia is Victoria Mallory's hometown! The Baker High School graduate might be better known to locals by her maiden name Victoria Morales and this marks the first time she has performed locally since she and Kurt performed at the Springer Opera House in The Fantasticks in 1970.

When Everything Was Possible-A Concert (with Comments) is the story of two young kids (Kurt and Victoria) who went to the biggest city in the world-he from the Midwest, she from the South-to pursue their dream of singing on Broadway. Along the way they sang for the greats: Noel Coward, Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim, and Leonard Bernstein. In the summer of '68, these two held court at the State Theatre at Lincoln Center, captivating audiences as Tony and Maria in West Side Story. And with that their careers and real life romance were off and running.

The two dated sporadically for about eight years, during which time they appeared separately in an impressive list of Broadway shows (A Little Night Music, Dear World, Carnival, Dames at Sea, The Baker's Wife, and others). They also appeared together, though not opposite each other, in a show that created an unbreakable bond among all those involved: the legendary original production of Follies, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by James Goldman, directed by Hal Prince and Michael Bennett.

Ultimately, the two split up. Then, after 30 years of nary a phone call, they reconnected. They found they still had a few things left to say, and sing, and When Everything Was Possible was born.

Performing songs from the shows they starred in and backed by a 13-piece orchestra, When Everything Was Possible-A Concert (with Comments) is staged by Emmy Award winner Joshua Bergasse ("SMASH") and conducted by one of Broadway's best musical directors, Emmy Award winner Michael Rafter. The show features orchestrations by Tony, Emmy, Grammy, and Academy Award winner Jonathan Tunick and images from the era's greatest theatrical photographers-including Van Williams, Kenn Duncan, and others-many never before on public display.

"How lucky we all are to have Victoria Mallory and Kurt Peterson back together again, and sharing their musical lives with us!" -Ted Chapin, President of the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, and Chair of the American Theater Wing
