Women's Project, entering its 35th season of producing plays written and directed by women, has appointed Lisa Fane Managing Director, Julie Crosby, Producing Artistic Director, announced.

"Women's Project is soaring -- artistically and financially -- and the appointment of Lisa Fane as Managing Director is critical to our continued growth,” said Ms. Crosby. “Lisa brings a wealth of fiscal and production management to the table, along with a joyful commitment to our mission. I am gobsmackingly grateful to have her on our team."

Lisa Fane joined Women’s Project as General Manager in August 2011. Prior to that, she spent 15 years at Radio City/MSG Entertainment working her way up through the ranks to become the Director, Touring Productions. She was a key member of the team that supervised up to six national touring productions per year of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring The Rockettes, many of which broke box office records. In her role at Radio City, Ms. Fane executed budgets totaling over $44 million; handled contracts and legal matters; and supervised the auditioning and hiring of over 250 performers per year including Rockettes, dancers, singers, children and principals.

“Women’s Project offers something vital to the community of theater artists and to New York audiences," Ms. Fane said upon accepting the appointment. "The work of Women’s Project excites me by producing and promoting theater created by talented women, naturally bringing a different kind of energy, new and fresh ideas and voices to the stage. I want to be a part of it. I am energized by the challenge of this new role and I am eager to contribute in a significant way to Women’s Project’s continued success and growth.”
