Original cast member Will Swenson returns to the role of 'Javert' in Cameron Mackintosh's Broadway production of Les Miserables for a limited time beginning tonight, November 18, stepping in for Earl Carpenter as he recovers from a neck injury (cervical vertebrae impingement). Carpenter will undergo an MRI this week to determine a treatment plan and timetable for recovery.

Said Earl Carpenter, "As long as the results of the MRI aren't too scary, I'll be back on the barricade as soon as possible and I'm grateful to Will Swenson for filling in for me on short notice!"

Said Will Swenson, "Super happy to get the chance to come back to Les Miz for a couple of weeks and fill in for Earl while his injury heals up. We've all been there before. And for all the times I've been hurt, I'm glad to repay the karma cycle of filling-in. Wishing the amazing Earl Carpenter a speedy and healthy recovery!

The cast of Les Miserables currently stars Alfie Boe, the internationally-acclaimed tenor (and star of the London LES MIZ 25th Anniversary concert) as Jean Valjean, Tony Award nominee Montego Glover as Fantine, Tony Award and Olivier Award nominee Gavin Lee as Thenardier, Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier, Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Chris McCarrell as Marius, Alexandra Finke as Cosette and Wallace Smith as Enjolras.
