Lauder: Scotland's Kilted King of Broadway (Off-Bway, 6/7/2026)

Originally premiering in 1996, RENT follows a group of artists navigating love, loss, addiction, poverty, and the AIDS crisis in New York City's East Village. Inspired by Puccini's La Bohème, the musical became known for centering LGBTQ+ voices and diverse communities on Broadway. EPIC Players' production places neurodivergent and Disabled artists at the center of the storytelling.

North Star (Off-Bway, 6/21/2026)
North Star is a live music and spoken word performance inspired by the speeches of abolitionist Frederick Douglass during his historic visit to Belfast in 1845. Conceived and developed by Kwame Daniels, this collaborative, immersive standing-room show fuses artistic responses to Douglass’s experience from an eclectic range of contemporary artists—including hip-hop, jazz, gospel, electronic and classical musicians, poets, and young people from Belfast and New York—in a moving, provocative artistic journey rooted in Black cultures, and inspired by Douglass’s deep connection with Belfast.
Silverback Mountain (Off-Bway, 6/21/2026)
The play is described as a darkly comic adventure about love, identity, and survival set against the collision of gay culture and anti-gay persecution. In the story, a tightly wound New York artist and his flamboyant husband travel to Uganda on a bucket-list safari to see mountain gorillas. What begins as a vacation filled with sightseeing and marital bickering escalates when the couple confronts the reality that being openly gay in the country is illegal, turning their trip into a fight for safety and freedom. Blending satire with moments of danger, the play follows the pair as they navigate a hostile environment while confronting their fears and their commitment to one another. Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Live (Off-Bway, 6/21/2026)

Pied à Terre (Off-Bway, 6/24/2026)
In the play, Julia, a successful television journalist, discovers a Manhattan apartment owned by her attorney husband, Jack, that she was unaware existed. As Julia explores the apartment, she's interrupted by the sudden appearance of Katie, a beautiful young woman who seems to know Jack a little too well. As they face off in the apartment, secrets unfold, revealing the burdens each has been carrying. Pied à Terre, or “a second home,” is about grieving, loss, and survivor's guilt, where the passions of the soul come into conflict with the obligations of the mind and the needs of the heart. This is not your usual love triangle.

July 10th, 1981, Missouri. Smalltown bully, Ken Rex McElroy rules Skidmore with an iron fist. His ten year reign of terror has involved theft, intimidation, assault, abduction and attempted murder but, thanks to his slippery defence attorney and the rusty cogs of the American justice system, Ken has never spent a night behind bars. But, when Ken shoots pillar of the community, greengrocer Bo Bowenkamp and leaves him for dead, the good folk of Skidmore decide that enough is enough. If the courts won’t bring Ken to heel, they will.
Can I Be Frank? (Off-Bway, 6/27/2026)
In a desperate attempt to prove they can think about someone other than themself, Morgan Bassichis turns to the work of queer comedian, musician, and performance artist Frank Maya. Maya was among the first out gay comedians on network television and on the precipice of mainstream success before he died from AIDS-related complications in 1995. This new “solo” performance humbly attempts to ensure Maya’s legacy is no longer overlooked while finally resolving the bottomless queer search for fame, father figures, and laughter in times of crisis.
I'm Almost There (Off-Bway, 6/28/2026)
I’m Almost There, a critically acclaimed musical journey by Todd Almond (Girl from the North Country, Gossip Girl), comes to BAM from the Edinburgh Fringe. Directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer (Good Night, and Good Luck; The Band’s Visit; Our Town), this whimsical yet poignant piece transplants The Odyssey into the modern world of dating. The monsters here are nosy neighbors, and the path leads through self-deprecation, heartfelt longing, and offbeat humor.
La Cage aux Folles (Off-Bway, 6/28/2026)
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES features music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and book by Harvey Fierstein, based on the play by Jean Poiret. Georges is the suave owner of a glitzy drag club on the French Riviera. Partnered romantically with his high-strung star performer, Albin, the pair live a charmed life-until Georges' son announces his engagement to the daughter of a conservative right-wing politician who's coming to dinner. The original production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES was one of Broadway's biggest hits of the 1980s. It opened August 21, 1983 at the Palace Theatre, where it played for over four years and 1,761 performances. The show won six Tony Awards in 1984, including Best Musical, Best Score (Jerry Herman) and Best Book (Harvey Fierstein).
David Copperfield (Off-Bway, 6/28/2026)

From the creative team behind last year's internationally acclaimed Pride & Prejudice ("A feast of theatricality," New York Stage Review) comes their latest adaptation of another cherished classic novel. Catch of the Day (Off-Bway, 6/28/2026)
Ireland, 1966. A skipper sails into Dingle bay with a very unusual catch. What follows is a ridiculous series of events involving Eamon De Valera, Queen Elizabeth, and a surprising amount of nuns. An unbelievable true story built from interviews, Catch of the Day is a raucous and little-bit-political play with live trad music, all set in a pub. This "side-splittingly funny" (The Irish Post) show has been teaching audiences about Anglo-Irish relations in very silly ways since 2018.
Romeo and Juliet (Off-Bway, 6/28/2026)
Never was there a story of more woe, or more romance, than the Bard's timeless tale of two young lovers from warring families. As the Montagues and Capulets are torn apart by ideology and simmering violence spills into the streets of the border town of Verona, Romeo and Juliet dare to defy a world determined to keep them apart. In this bold new staging, the play unfolds in English, but Romeo and Juliet speak to one another in Spanish, a language reserved only for their shared world.
The People Versus Lenny Bruce (Off-Bway, 6/28/2026)
The story of Lenny Bruce and his New York trial is more relevant now than ever. A heart-breaking and thought provoking story filled with humor, this theatrical adaptation is the story of comic Lenny Bruce and his lawyer Martin Garbus who tried to save his client from the system – and from himself. At the conclusion of the trial, License Inspector Herbert Ruhe, the Prosecuter’s witness, said the following to Attorney Allen Schwartz: “We aimed for Bruce. We picked him out of all the performers. I know he was not obscene, yet in a way I feel he had to be convicted.” These words were spoken in 1964 but they could have easily been said in 2026
