Quote of the Day: Wise words from LOVE LETTERS' Alan Alda...

"Laugh at yourself, but don't ever aim your doubt at yourself. Be bold. When you embark for strange places, don't leave any of yourself safely on shore. Have the nerve to go into unexplored territory."
-- Alan Alda (via BrainyQuote)

What we're looking forward to listening to: The new album by BEAUTIFUL's Anika Larsen -- SING YOU TO SLEEP -- out December 9!

And finally, a Happy Birthday shout-out to Whoopi Goldberg, who turns 59 today!

A comedian, actress, singer, producer and talk show host, EGOT-winner Goldberg first made a name for herself with her role in the 1985 film The Color Purple. She later appeared in Ghost (now a musical) and won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. She has acted as host on The View since 2007. Goldberg has produced Broadway's Sister Act (she starred in the 1992 film) and the Tony-winning 2002 revival of Thoroughly Modern Millie; she also starred onstage in Xanadu, Whoopi, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Goldberg also recently appeared in FOX's musical comedy GLEE.
