The Public Theater presents Summer ShakeUp at Shakespeare In The Park: A special acting workshop for 700 New York City students at the world famous Delacorte Theater

Held FRIDAY, JULY 10, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Underwritten by Bank of America, Summer ShakeUp, now in its third year, lets 700 New York City students experience the backstage workings of Shakespeare in the Park and participate in an exciting dramatic encounter with Shakespeare's work led by The Public's teaching artists.

Delacorte Theater, Central Park (enter at Central Park West and 81st Street)

Geared toward ages 12 and up, Summer ShakeUp helps students investigate Shakespeare's text through contests, performances, games, poetry writing and crafty projects, all culminating in student performances on the world-famous Delacorte Theater stage. This year's event will be held in conjunction with our acclaimed production of TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Daniel Sullivan.
