Stephen Henry's acclaimed production of The Irish Curse, which recently had its European Premiere at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, will transfer to London's King's Head Theatre for a six-week limited engagement beginning January 16th, 2007.

The Irish Curse, written by Martin Casella, had its World Premiere at the New York International Fringe Festival in the summer of 2005, where it garnered rave reviews, sold out all of its performances and won the Overall Excellence Award for Playwrighting.

This feel good comedy revolves around the question: Does Size Matter? Every Wednesday night, in a Roman Catholic Church hall in New York City, a small group of Irish-American men gather to complain about their "shortcomings". When twenty-something Irishman Kieran joins the group, he challenges everything the other men ever thought about their sex lives, tackling their obsession with "The Irish Curse" and confronting attitudes towards body image.

Presented by 28 Productions Ltd. in association with Sarahbeth Grossman, Lauren Helpern, Traci Klainer and Craig Zehms. The Irish Curse is director Stephen Henry's third Edinburgh Festival London transfer for Theatre 28, following the acclaimed European premieres of Love! Valour! Compassion! and Corpus Christi.

The commercial off-Broadway presentation of The Irish Curse is scheduled to open in 2007.
