The Hartman Group has announced that it will begin business on Monday, June 15, 2009. As previously announced, Barlow-Hartman Public Relations will cease operations after 10 successful years in business, on June 14, 2009.

The Hartman Group will continue to operate at 1560 Broadway, Suite 909, New York, NY, 10036. The phone number remains 212-398-1800 and the fax remains 212-398-7110.

Upon inception, The Hartman Group will represent Broadway's 9 to 5 The Musical, Billy Elliot The Musical, In The Heights, Next to Normal, Rock of Ages, West Side Story and Wicked as well as Second Stage Theatre and Cirque du Soleil's Wintuk.

The Hartman Group staff will include Wayne Wolfe, Leslie Baden, Tom D'Ambrosio, Juilana Hannett, Michelle Bergmann, Matt Shea, Matt Ross, Holly Kinney, Frances Connelly, and Nicole Capatasto.

"Creating Barlow-Hartman has been more rewarding than I could have imagined, however, if we remain open and conscious, the call to evolve inevitably sounds. Not only have John and I both evolved, the theater industry and the very nature of media coverage has evolved as well. I'm very inspired to originate an agency with an emphasis on new media relations and developing projects and relationships that contribute to the vitality and relevance of this industry that I remain passionate about and devoted to," said Hartman.
