Fondly look back at FOLLIES with somebody who was there - and kept a journal!

Aspects of the legendary original Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's FOLLIES are thoughtfully recounted by onetime gofer and current Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization president Ted Chapin in a fascinating new video featurette provided courtesy of Masterworks Broadway.

Additionally, Chapin candidly recalls Sondheim and director Hal Prince's first musical of the 1970s, the groundbreaking concept musical COMPANY.

"I masterminded being a gofer on FOLLIES," Chapin recalls.

"I picked well - I knew it would be an interesting show, but I didn't know it would be FOLLIES," Chapin adds.

Plus, Chapin says, "As years went on, people were more and more interested in what my experience had been."
