THE UNDERTOW, One-Act About Identity Politics, Coming to Triskelion Arts

'The Undertow', a new dramatic play about identity politics, written/directed/produced by Robert Plonskier comes to Triskelion Arts in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for five performances between the dates of September 23rd - October 7th.

Starring Meredith A, Watson and Michelle Scarr.

'The Undertow' is a two-hander set in a high school guidance counselor's office, where Mrs. Tammy James, a black woman in her mid-30's, is approached by a feminist student, Devon. Devon has issues with an incident that has occurred between an older male teacher and a brawny jock. Bu when Tammy isn't as receptive towards Devon's views on race and sex as she'd hoped her to be, a conversational tug-of-war ensues, with one side demanding resentment, and the other just wanting to call the path her own.

'The Undertow' will run in the Muriel Schulman Theater at Triskelion Arts (106 Calyer Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222). Performances will be held on Sept 23rd at 3 pm, Sept 24th at 8 pm, Sept 30th at 3 pm, Oct 1st at 8 pm, and Oct 7th at 3 pm. Tickets are $18 in advance, $22 at the door.
