THE RHINESTONE COWGIRLS to Perform at Rose & Alfred Miniaci Center
Singer-songwriter Sarah McCulloch will open the show at Nova Southeastern University's campus in Davie.
The music and enduring influence of country's most celebrated female artists will take center stage when The Rhinestone Cowgirls: Legendary Ladies of Country Music performs Friday, October 16, 2026, at 8 p.m. at the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center on the Nova Southeastern University campus in Davie.
The Rhinestone Cowgirls features Samantha Duval, Charity Farrell and Gianna Vanpelt, three accomplished vocalists whose distinctive voices and performance backgrounds allow the group to capture a wide range of country styles.
Duval is a versatile musical-theater vocalist with a powerful voice and an extensive range. Her experience performing pop, country, rock and musical theater enables her to move comfortably between intimate ballads and big country anthems. Her professional credits include national tours with Cirque Musica and The Celtic Ladies, Off-Broadway appearances and regional productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages and Smokey Joe's Café.
Farrell is an award-winning actress and singer whose musical-theater experience brings a dramatic, story-centered quality to her performances. Her expressive delivery is particularly suited to country music's emotionally direct lyrics and narrative traditions. She has performed in stage productions, concerts, film and television and is known for combining vocal strength with an engaging theatrical presence.
Vanpelt is an international singer, songwriter, dancer, actress and composer. Her vocal approach combines the versatility of a contemporary vocalist with the warmth, personality and storytelling qualities associated with classic country music. Her experience performing multiple musical genres helps the trio move naturally from traditional country standards to modern crossover hits.
Together, Duval, Farrell and Vanpelt blend their individual vocal styles into polished three-part harmonies while preserving the personality and emotional character of the artists they honor.
Featuring fresh musical arrangements and a live band, The Rhinestone Cowgirls takes audiences on an entertaining journey through eight decades of country music. The production honors the fierce voices, memorable songs and independent spirits of the women who helped transform country music into an international phenomenon.
Audiences will hear classic songs associated with legendary performers such as Patsy Cline's 'Crazy,' Tammy Wynette's 'Stand by Your Man' and Loretta Lynn's 'Coal Miner's Daughter.' The program also features contemporary favorites, including Martina McBride's 'Independence Day' and Carrie Underwood's 'Last Name.'
In describing the production on the group's official website, The Rhinestone Cowgirls invite audiences to 'pay homage to the iconic female vocalists of yesterday and today,' promising an 'elegant and authentic journey' through the evolution of country music.
Opening the evening will be award-winning Florida folk singer-songwriter and country artist Sarah McCulloch. Known for weaving vivid stories into her music, McCulloch won the 2025 Will McLean Best New Florida Song Contest with 'Everglades City 1985.' She also won the South Florida Folk and Acoustic Music Festival competition in 2024 and 2026.
