Singer/Songwriter Tom Andersen to Perform 10/21 in Queer Songbook

  The Center welcomes singer/songwriter Tom Andersen as guest artist in the Queer Songbook, a program of New York's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Andersen will perform Thursday, Oct. 21, 7PM, at the Center, 208 West 13th Street, New York City. Tickets are $15 for Center members, $20 for non-members.

A romantic tenor and acclaimed songwriter, Andersen has performed at Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall and Town Hall. In addition, he has headlined at Tavern on the Green, the Russian Tea Room and the Algonquin. He is the recipient of four Backstage Bistro Awards and five awards from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs, including "Outstanding Male Vocalist," "Recording of the Year" and "Song of the Year."

 Earlier this month, on October 4, Queer Songbook presented A New Generation of Broadway Composers, featuring composers such as Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party) and Doug Cohen (The Opposite of Sex), and performers such as Rachel York, Melba Moore, Billy Porter and Tom Andersen.
